After being embroiled in controversies over the last few months, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor not only lost his titles but also his lavish Royal Lodge. However, it appears that King Charles no longer wants any reminders of his younger brother in the estate, which is why he has reportedly requested the staff to burn ex-prince Andrew’s unwanted belongings.

After being evicted from Royal Lodge in Windsor, ex-prince Andrew moved to his temporary home, Wood Farm. From there, he will soon move to his permanent home in the Sandringham Estate, Marsh Farm, which comprises only five rooms. While the shifting has been underway for some time, with his files and belongings being carried from his previous mansion to his new address, it seems King Charles now wants no trace of his younger brother behind in the Royal Lodge.

According to the Mirror, the royal aides have been clearing out the remaining possessions from Royal Lodge for the past few days, including the staff quarters. Moreover, the staff has been setting fire to further unwanted belongings of their own.

“Andrew was told everything has to be out and absolutely nothing was to be left behind,” a source told the outlet. Since the former prince “hasn’t been back to collect anything,” the staff is clearing everything out by the weekend. Moreover, they have “been told no trace of the former occupants or staff should remain.”

Palace sources insisted the burning of furniture and other items on the estate belonged to Andrew’s former staff. Even on Tuesday, a man, understood to be one of Andrew’s former valets, was spotted burning belongings, including furniture, on the grounds of the Royal Lodge estate.

The ex-prince has been residing in the Wood Farm since the beginning of February, as his Marsh Farm house was under renovation. However, it was recently reported that Andrew will soon shift to his permanent address as the renovation is over. But he is yet to shift to his expected future home on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
