March 3 (Reuters) - U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard ‌Lutnick has agreed ‌to testify before the House ​Oversight Committee over his past ties to the late disgraced ‌financier Jeffrey ⁠Epstein, Axios reported on Tuesday.

""I look ⁠forward to appearing before the committee. ​I have ​done ​nothing wrong and ‌I want to set the record straight," Axios quoted Lutnick as saying.

The closed door ‌interview will ​take place ​in ​the coming weeks, ‌Axios said.

Lutnick has ​not been ​accused of any wrongdoing.
