Millie Bobby Brown became a mom for the first time this year — and she says it's given her a whole new perspective on how she was raised.
While attending the Stranger Things final season premiere on Thursday night (Nov. 6), the 21-year-old actress shared some rare comments about how she's been impacted by motherhood since adopting her baby girl.
When asked if becoming a mom changed the way she viewed her childhood in the spotlight, Brown admitted that the experience only made her more grateful for her own parents.
"It gives you so much perspective but it also just makes me so honored and proud to be my parent's daughter because they took care of me and they were just the most amazing, present and loving parents," Brown told The Hollywood Reporter.

She continued, "So if I could be half the parent that they were, then I've won."
Brown and her husband Jake Bongioviannounced the arrival of their daughter back in August.
"This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy,” the couple wrote in a statement on Instagram at the time.
Since then, they've remained tight-lipped about their new addition — and recently shared that they didn't even plan to share her name until "she's ready to decide for herself."
"For me, it's really important to protect her and her story until she's old enough to potentially one day share it herself," Brown recently told British Vogue.
She continued, "It's not my place to purposefully put her in the spotlight unwillingly. If she chooses to share her personality one day with the world, like I did when I was young, that's something we'd support. But right now, as she's so little…As her parents, it's our job to protect her from that."
