New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin has been traded to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a conditional 2026 third-round pick and prospect Liam Greentree, according to ESPN.

The Rangers will be retaining 50% of Panarin's remaining salary for this season, which is $8 million, per Puck Pedia.

The conditional draft pick will turn into a 2026 second-rounder if the Kings win at least one playoff round. The Rangers will also receive a 2028 fourth-round pick if LA wins two playoff rounds this spring.

The 34-year-old forward, who can become a free agent this summer, has 19 goald and 57 points through 52 games this season. Once it became clear that the two sides were going to part ways, the team held him out of the lineup for their past three games to protect their asset.

The Rangers are currently last in the Eastern Conference with 50 points, while the Kings have 60 points in 54 games and sit one point out of a Western Conference wild-card spot and three points behind the Anaheim Ducks for third place in the Pacific Division.
