Rumer Willis responded to people who criticize her decision to breastfeed her nearly 3-year-old daughter, Louetta (“Lou”)
She shared her thoughts via a video on Instagram that featured a clip of herself breastfeeding
Willis welcomed Lou in April 2023 with her then-boyfriend, musician Derek Richard Thomas
Rumer Willis is clapping back at negative comments about her parenting — specifically her decision to breastfeed her nearly 3-year-old daughter, Louetta (“Lou”).
The star, 37, shared a video of herself breastfeeding Lou, who turns 3 on April 18, on Instagram on Saturday, April 4.
“When someone starts judging my parenting,” Willis wrote in text over the clip.
The video then cuts to a clip of a woman in front of a whiteboard lecturing on the difference between “your business” and “my business.”
“Sorry not sorry,” Willis wrote in the post’s caption.
This isn’t the first time Willis has hit back at critics of her decision to breastfeed.
In October 2025, she shared a photo on her Instagram Stories of herself nursing Lou while sitting on a couch.
"For the haters who come at me about breastfeeding my 2 yr old I hope you have a blessed day 😘,” Willis wrote in text over the photo.

Willis welcomed Lou in April 2023 with her then-boyfriend, musician Derek Richard Thomas.
Willis announced in 2024 that she and Thomas had gone their separate ways, and she has since opened up about the struggles of solo parenting.

In a tearful video posted on her Instagram Stories in November 2025, she shared that she “just had a good cry.”
“Some days being a single mom is hard. She is not hard (ever) but some days doing everything alone can be,” Willis wrote across a video of herself wiping away tears while walking outdoors.

“Wow and I just realized I have food in my teeth…really winning today,” she added in the video’s caption.

Despite her emotions, Willis ultimately appeared optimistic as she gave the camera a smile and a thumbs-up.
