SNL Mocks Kristi Noem's Husband's Reported Cross-Dressing Scandal
The latest episode of Saturday Night Live (SNL) mocked Kristi Noem’s husband based on a controversial report during its Weekend Update segment. The sketch followed reports alleging fetish online activity and photos of Bryon Noem in cross-dressing attire.
SNL makes fun of Kristi Noem’s husband
The NBC sketch show’s Weekend Update segment featured comedian Sarah Sherman playing Bryon Noem, Kristi Noem’s husband, in an over-the-top outfit. She wore a wig with exaggerated forehead, lopsided fake breasts made with balloons, and bright pink bike shorts. The sketch directly referenced a Daily Mail report that included photos of him wearing a flesh-colored crop top with balloons stuffed underneath.
Sherman challenged the show’s hosts, Michael Che and Colin Jost, directly. “I dare you all to find one thing that’s comical about this whole situation,” she said. She then pointed to her mismatched costume pieces and added, “Hey, Michael? My eyes are up here. My nipples are out here.”
The comedian continued prodding Che, asking if he would “kink-shame me on national TV about my insane clown juggalos and tiny, teeny little pink bike shorts.” She later stood up and shook her chest piece for added effect. Furthermore, while speaking to a “liberal” audience, Sherman showed off her character’s “conservative man’s bloobs,” calling them “bimbo bazongas” and “big chumbawumbas.”

SNL also brought Kristi Noem into the joke. When Sherman’s character asked his wife for comment, cast member Ashley Padilla appeared as Noem and racked a shotgun. “Did someone say puppies?” Padilla said. The line referenced Noem’s own memoir, where she wrote about shooting her dog. Che summed up the segment’s tone by telling Sherman’s character, “this whole thing is just fun for us because your wife is so awful.” Sherman replied simply, “Ugh, I know.”
The comedy bit followed a Daily Mail report that included photos of Bryon Noem. He was wearing a flesh-toned top with stuffed balloons underneath. The same report alleged he sent thousands of dollars to online fetish models. Kristi Noem has reportedly been caught off guard, and President Donald Trump later felt “badly” for the family if they were unaware of the behavior.
