Though there's never a shortage of festivals, markets, concerts, and other cultural happenings in the Classic City, we've chosen to spotlight these events for the weekend of May 8-10.

Winterville Marigold Festival -
WHERE: Pittard Park (115 Parkview Rd in Winterville)
WHEN: Saturday, May 9, from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. (free admission)
DETAILS: This full-day festival includes a 10K race, parade, vendor market, car show, kids area, and demonstrations, along with live music on the main stage from noon through the evening. A wide range of activities and performances make it one of the area’s most comprehensive spring events.
