Spelling was previously involved in a car accident in 2011, when she hit a wall while driving her two eldest children to school. The actress, who was pregnant with her third child at the time and being pursued by paparazzi, later wrote on social media that she crashed while trying to escape a photographer who continued to take pictures even after the accident.
At the time of the incident, a representative for Spelling told PEOPLE that Spelling was "really shaken up, but she and the kids are doing fine." They further explained, "[The photographer] followed her into the driveway of the school. She pulled into the driveway and tried to get away from him. She reversed to leave and then hit the wall."
