Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr once spent months secretly weaving Taylor Swift lyrics into his postgame press conferences, he recently revealed.
Kerr, 60, explained how he entertained himself during media sessions by subtly slipping lines from Swift's song "All Too Well"into his answers without reporters or fans noticing the references. One instance dates back to March 2023, he recalled to ESPN in an interview published on Thursday, May 14.
After the Warriors defeated the Rockets, Kerr opened a postgame press conference by saying: “I walked through the door of the locker room at halftime,” referencing the opening lyric from Swift's hit song.
Throughout the season, Kerr continued finding ways to work more lyrics into his postgame remarks, gradually making his way through the entire track while keeping the running joke under wraps, according to the outlet.
Eventually, Kerr's son Matthew compiled clips from the interviews and edited them together into one video, which was later shared in the family group chat, ESPN reported.
The finished product appeared to show Kerr reciting the song nearly word for word over the course of the season.

At some point, the video made its way to Swift through a mutual friend.
“Wait, is this real?” Swift, 36, asked, according to Kerr.
“Can I put it on social media?” she later asked the coach, who told the outlet that Swift described the prank as "creative and funny."

Unfortunately for Swifties, Kerr asked her to keep the video private, meaning the full clip has yet to surface publicly.
